Hand-Painted Shields..

In medieval times, banqueting halls were adorned with shields bearing the family's coats of arms. Today many people hang shields with their family name's coat of arms in their homes; the shields are smaller, but so are the homes!

With over 1 million images in our database, it is likely we have the coat of arms for your name. However, you can check our database before you buy.

Shields have a hardwood base available in a choice of dark, medium or natural finish. The coat of arms is hand painted onto a raised plinth.

Delivery times fluctuate depending on the number of orders and average about 5-6 weeks.

To hang your shield, fix a screw in a wall and slot the base of the shield onto the screw.

Hand-painted shields are available in several sizes, and also a double version.

How to order:

1. Choose the size of shield you want.
2. Type the name(s) in the relevant box below.
3. If you use the search facility and find more than one coat of arms, tell us which one you want by placing the country in brackets when you enter the surname.
4. Click on 'Order' - this will take you to our shopping cart where you enter your name and address, and then onto our bank's secure site where you arrange payment.
5. If you want to order more than one item, click on the 'Continue shopping' button while on the shopping cart page, this will bring you back here.

Some names have more than one coat of arms. Some, also, have heraldic lineage in more than one country. If there is say a Scottish and an English version we will use the oldest unless you tell us your preference.

P&P is calculated on weight: the weight of a shield is 6 units.

• Total order up to 2 units: P&P is £1.75
• 3 units: P&P is £2.25
• 4 units: P&P is £3.00
• 5 units: P&P is £4.00
• Above 5 units is £6.00

You can pay with most debit/credit cards (but NOT American Express) or use your Paypal account if you have one.
